SEMTA seeks the best in British engineering

Awards_2016_logoUK: The search is on to find the champion individuals and businesses in British engineering and advanced manufacturing.

The SEMTA Awards, organised by the employer-led Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies, are designed to celebrate the best of British engineering, and recognise the achievements of people, businesses and training providers across the engineering and advanced manufacturing sector.

Nominations are now open for eight categories: Apprentice of the Year, Higher Apprentice of the Year, Graduate of the Year, Skills Champion of the Year, Skills Innovation of the Year, Training Partner of the Year, SME Investment in Skills and Technician of the Year. In addition, Semta will choose a Best of British Engineering from all of the winners.

Nomination close on November 30, with the winners revealed at a gala awards dinner in London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel on February 10.

Semta represents all of the 145,800 engineering and advanced manufacturing organisations across the UK, of which more than 99% are small and medium sized companies.
