SWEDEN: Systemair has acquired the Austrian air handling unit manufacturer Frivent Luft- & Wärmetechnik.

Based in St Johann in Tirol, Austria, Frivent was established in 1976 and has a turnover of around €7m.

In addition to air handling units, the company also produces heat recovery systems and special roof units for niche applications.

“We see great opportunities with the company’s unique knowledge within niche applications and their current market presence. This acquisition gives us a strengthened position in the region and a possibility to coordinate our activities in Austria,” said Systemair’s president and CEO Roland Kasper.
