GEA reports record orders

GERMANY: GEA has reported a 20.4% increase in orders in the first quarter of the year to a record €1.54bn, with three orders alone totalling €92m.

Sales increased by 5.7% to €1.13 bn during the period, while EBITDA before restructuring expenses was €138m, up 14.1% on the same quarter last year.

“GEA got off to a very good start in 2022 – in an environment in which the world is facing major political, economic and social challenges,” said CEO Stefan Klebert. “In the first quarter, we achieved a record level of incoming orders and the EBITDA margin. In addition, sales grew organically for the fifth consecutive quarter.”
