ISH welcomed back but visitors drop 18%

GERMANY: The return of the ISH sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology exhibition to Frankfurt last week attracted 153,734 visitors, according to the organiser’s closing report.

The attendance figure, down 18% on the last event in 2019, reflects similar post-covid downturns experienced by other industry shows.

Despite a significant presence from heat pump and air conditioning manufacturers, the 2,025 exhibitors were also down 21% on 2019.

Commenting on the five-day event, which ended on Friday, Messe Frankfurt chairman Wolfgang Marzin said: “ISH more than fulfilled the expectations of our customers and came at just the right time to meet the challenges of our time such as climate protection and security of supply. The industry presented tangible solutions for the current political requirements, so that the installing trade, as the strongest visitor group, also benefited.”
