Lindab acquisitions at the double

SWEDEN: Swedish ventilation company Lindab has continued to expand its global interests with the acquisitions of companies in Ireland and Germany.

At the end of last week, Lindab announced the acquisition of Dublin-based HVAC product supplier Irish Ventilation & Filtration Ltd. This followed the purchase at the end of February of Raab Lüftungstechnik, a manufacturer of ductwork and accessories based in Großmehring in the heart of Bavaria.

Irish Ventilation & Filtration targets mainly maintenance and repair departments of large international companies as well as mechanical contractors. The acquisition extends Lindab’s operations in Ireland, adding dampers, grilles and ventilation ducts. Irish Ventilation & Filtration also design and manufacture air handling units.

Founded in 1995 and based in Crumlin outside of Dublin, the company has 19 employees and an annual turnover of around €9m.

The acquisition of Raab Lüftungstechnik GmbH strengthens Lindab’s sales and production of rectangular ventilation ducts. The company will be a subsidiary of Felderer, which Lindab acquired in 2022.

Raab Lüftungstechnik has an annual turnover of approximately SEK160m (€14.4m) and 95 employees.
