DeLclima confirms new group structure

ITALY: The board of Climaveneta, RC Group, and DeLclima finance has approved the merger of the three companies into a single entity.

The Italian air conditioning companies, purchased by Mitsubishi Electric at the beginning of this year, will become operational as MELCO Hydronics & IT Cooling SpA from January 1.

Climaveneta and RC Group will evolve from being two different legal entities into divisions. The administration, finance, health environment and safety, IT, and quality departments will be centralised. Purchasing and HR are already centralised.

The name change was first reported by the Cooling Post in March, Mitsubishi saying that it would signify to employees, customers and suppliers that the company had become an integral part of the Mitsubishi Electric Group.

The 100% purchase of the Italian group, which includes chiller manufacturer Climaveneta and specialist air conditioning and cooling brand RC Group, was completed on February 24.
