UK: Both FETA and the IoR are said to be preparing guidance to the changes contained in the new refrigeration safety standard EN378:2016.

The long-awaited standard, which is particularly related to the use of flammable refrigerants and A2L classification, appears in four parts: basic requirements, definitions, classification and selection criteria; design, construction, testing, marking and documentation; installation site and personal protection; operation, maintenance, repair and recovery.

The IoR says that its Refrigeration Codes of Practice are currently being revised to reflect the changes and will be republished to members early in 2017.

The new standard is now available for purchase from the BSI here.
