Caverion stands out at Dusseldorf exhibition site
17th October 2026
GERMANY: Caverion is to install the ventilation, refrigeration, plumbing, and compressed air systems for the renovation and expansion of Hall 9 at the Düsseldorf exhibition centre.
The site owner, Messe Düsseldorf, is expanding and modernising the exhibition grounds over the next four years. Caverion was previously involved in the modernisation of halls 10, 11 and 12.
As part of the renovation work on Hall 9, a new functional building with entrances and conference rooms is being constructed. Upon completion, the total area, including technical rooms, social areas, foyer and bistro, will be approximately 15,000m2.
Messe Düsseldorf welcomes over one million visitors annually. These visitors attend approximately 35 trade fairs and consumer exhibitions.
Caverion is installing, among other things, four ventilation units and 66 radial air outlets in Hall 9. The ventilation system is designed for an air volume flow of 544,000m³/h.
For the refrigeration system, Caverion is connecting two circular pipe distributors and circular pipe collectors to the refrigeration network on the exhibition grounds.
The company is also carrying out extensive renovation work on the drinking water installation and expanding the existing compressed air ring main and constructing a second, smaller, dedicated compressed air network to supply the smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems.
Work by Caverion has been underway since June 2026 and is expected to be completed in October 2027.
