Court installation judges R290 chillers

UK: Panasonic has supplied six 80kW ECOi-W Aqua-G Blue R290 chillers as part of a major cooling infrastructure upgrade at Leeds Magistrates Court.
The installation, delivered in partnership with Crawley-based mechanical services specialist Sub-Cool FM, comprises six Panasonic ECOi-W Aqua-G Blue units,
The project also incorporated enhancements to the building management system, with improved scheduling functionality enabling the heating and cooling systems to operate only when required.
The Leeds Magistrates Court project presented significant logistical challenges. Located within a busy city-centre environment, the live-site installation required extensive planning, including overnight crane operations, partial road closures, pedestrian management measures and enhanced public safety controls.
Throughout the works, court operations remained fully functional. Despite the complexity of the live-site environment, the lift was completed ahead of schedule, reducing the planned duration from 11 hours to just six hours.
