Lamborghini speeds life-saving organs to hospitals

ITALY: A Lamborghini with specially-adapted refrigeration compartment has delivered life-saving donor kidneys at top speed to two hospitals in Italy.

The two special Christmas presents were delivered to hospitals in Modena and Rome in the Lamborghini Huracan LP-610 operated by Italy’s State Traffic Police. The Italian police team is specially trained for fast driving and emergency rescue operations.

Included amongst the car’s life-saving equipment is a fridge in the front compartment for storing organs.

For the petrol heads, the 5.2 litre, 610hp LP-610 is capable of speeds uo to 341km/h (212 mph), clocking 0–97km/h (60 mph) in 2.5 seconds.
