RUSSIA: Chinese manufacturer Midea is supplying air conditioning systems and appliances to seven of the 12 stadiums being used in the 2018 World Cup.

Midea will provide a range of falling film water-cooled screw chillers, MAi full inverter intelligent VRF systems and fan coil units to the Luzhniki Stadium (Moscow) and the stadiums in Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Samara and Saint Petersburg.

“We are very proud to be chosen by these Russian stadiums as their air conditioning supplier,” said Johnson Huang, marketing director of Midea central air conditioner division. “It’s a great honour for us to support Russian sporting events with our energy-efficient and reliable products and localised service. This is also a great opportunity for us to demonstrate Midea’s commitment to providing surprisingly-friendly solutions.”
