Swegon secures largest order

SWEDEN: Swedish HVAC manufacturer Swegon has secured its largest order to date for Volvo Cars’ new electric vehicle plant in Košice, Slovakia.

The order includes more than 80 of Swegon’s Gold air handing units as well as air diffusers and chilled beams.

The new Volvo plant spans approximately 330,000m2 and includes several buildings dedicated to the full-scale construction of Volvo’s electric vehicles, from stamping to final assembly.

“This win is a testament to our Gold air handling unit being a suitable solution also for industrial applications. Our ability to adapt to the customer’s specific demands in this project was crucial,” said Swegon CEO Andreas Örje Wellstam

“The industrial segment is growing, and this win gives us great confidence and inspiration for the future. Together with our room products, we will secure a good indoor climate with high comfort and low energy consumption in production areas as well as offices.”
