Bosch extends R290 heat pump range

GERMANY: Bosch has announced that its Compress 5800i AW and Compress 6800i AW propane heat pumps are now available in 10kW and 12kW sizes.

The two new additions, introduced this month, extends the range to five models down to 4kW, with the indoor unit only requiring a total installation area of 0.36m².

According to Bosch, the addition of an integrated sound diffuser makes these units two of the quietest heat pumps in their class in both day and night mode. The Compress 5800i AW and the Compress 6800i AW have an air duct with an integrated sound diffuser, a sound-optimised cooling circuit and a sound-optimised housing, which also reduces the fan noise. For example, with the Compress 6800i AW, the sound pressure level is only 28.5dB(A) measured from a distance of 3m.

With maximum flow temperatures of up to 60ºC, the Compress 5800i AW ensures a reliable heat supply in new buildings. With high flow temperatures of up to 75ºC, the Compress 6800i AW is also suitable for heating renovated single-family and multi-family homes. For radiator applications with a design flow temperature of up to 55ºC, the heat pump can be operated efficiently even at colder outside temperatures without the use of the heating element.

In the new space-saving all-in-one tower version, the Compress 5800i AW M has an integrated 180 litre hot water tank and a 16 litre buffer tank, making it ideal for use in new buildings. With a height of only 71cm, Bosch says the wall-mounted version can be installed flexibly and quickly thanks to the integrated three-way switching valve for hot water preparation.

The plug-and-play Compress 6800i AW MB buffer tower, with up to two heating circuits and an integrated 70 litre buffer storage concept with a reduced height of just 1.2m, is said to make it ideal for flexible and easy installation in renovations and new buildings.

Using the Connect Key K 30 RF connected to the internet, the system can be remotely monitor and maintained via applications such as Bosch’s HomeCom Pro.
