Ciat rooftops on R454B

SPAIN: Ciat has introduced a new range of Vectios Power rooftop air conditioning units operating on R454B, a lower GWP refrigerant alternative to R410A.

The updated Vectios Power range is said to offer the same options as the previous R410A series, while exceeding Ecodesign 2021 SEER requirements for cooling by up to 42% and SCOP for heating by 10%.

R454B is a lower flammability A2L refrigerant blend of 68.9% R32 and 31.1% 1234yf. It has a GWP of 466.

Vectios Power is available in 12 sizes spanning airflow rates from 10,800 to 54,000m3/h, with cooling capacities from 98kW to 273kW, and heating capacities from 98kW to 300kW.

“Vectios Power operating on R454B offers all the space-saving and low noise benefits of the previous generation, while using the best refrigerant for rooftop applications, reducing environmental impact and delivering higher efficiencies and lower operating costs. And with its advanced indoor air quality technologies, such as high-efficiency filtration, fine air flow control and optional CO2 sensors, it supports the highest levels of comfort and wellbeing,” said rooftops product manager Natividad Molero.
