Danfoss valves meet UL flammability standards

DENMARK: Danfoss has released details of its new EVR and NRV safety valves, approved to meet UL standards for the safe operation of systems using flammable refrigerants.

The Danfoss EVR solenoid valves and NRV check valves provide a solution for separating flammable A2L, A2, or A3 refrigerant charges in case of leaks, thereby reducing the total releasable charge in higher capacity systems.

By complying with the new UL 60335-2-40 and UL 60335-2-89 safety standards, the Danfoss valves provide enhanced leak safety and fail safe-operation.

Flammable refrigerants are effectively isolated in the event of leaks, mitigating potential hazards and improving overall system safety. Automatic shut-off prevents refrigerant backflow and leakage, providing an additional layer of protection during power failures.
