Enex introduces 140bar CO2 gas coolers

ITALY: A new range of flat gas coolers from Enex Technologies for CO2 transcritical systems has a pressure rating of 140bar.

This high pressure designs increase efficiency and capacity, especially at high ambients. For example, at 45°C ambient, capacity can increase by 13% and efficiency by 4.5%, Enex says.

Available in capacities from 15 to 900kW and with a wide choice of noise levels, the units feature axial fans with EC fan motors.

The coolers has a finned coil made of 7mm copper tubes and louvered aluminium fins, which are built with a floating pack system, a technology that allows the coil to levitate and avoid leaks.

The headers are made of stainless steel and K65, a high-strength copper alloy that resists corrosion and fatigue. The casing is made of pre-painted aluminium, which is said to be durable and easy to maintain.

The coolers also offer various options for customisation, such as copper fins, coated fins, stainless steel casing, anti-dampers, AC fans, shielded wiring, service switch, speed controller, Axitop and wiring into centralised box with magnetothermic switches.
