Ideal launches monobloc heat pump

UK: Ideal Heating, a company with a tradition in gas heating, has launched its first monobloc heat pump for the domestic UK market.

The Logic Air heat pump operates on R32 and is available in 8kW and 10kW models. It integrates a hot water cylinder from sister company Gledhill and its Halo Air thermostat, achieving SCOP efficiencies of 5.19.

Backed by parent company Groupe Atlantic, Ideal Heating recently submitted plans for a new £10m heat pump R&D facility at its UK headquarters in Hull. The proposed facility is part of a wider £60m investment programme across the Hull site to increase manufacturing and distribution capacity and accommodate heat pump production and warehousing.

To help installers transition to heat pump technology, Ideal offers training at its a new National Training & Technology Centre in Hessle, East Yorkshire.
