LG introduces Therma V R290 heat pump

EUROPE: LG is the latest manufacturer to introduce a propane (R290) heat pump with its Therma V monobloc.

Available in four sizes – 9, 12, 14 and 16 kW – the LG Therma V R290 monobloc is said to combine high efficiency and low noise.

It has achieved an ErP energy labeling up to A+++ / A+++ rating and a sound power level of 49dB(A) for 12kW models and allowing installation at a minimum of 3m from other buildings.

The low noise levels are achieved by the use of a floating base pan that reduces compressor vibration and a sound-proof cube that absorbs operational noise.

It can achieve flow temperatures of 75ºC and 100% heating output at ambient temperatures down to -15ºC. Operation range is down to -28ºC.

Being a monobloc, all hydronic components like the plate heat exchanger, water pump, flow sensor, pressure sensor, de-aerator, and safety valve are conveniently situated inside the outdoor unit.

It can also be connected to three types of indoor units –  Control Box, Hydro Box and Combi unit – and can integrate with LG’s Energy Storage System (ESS).
