Mini cassette has built-in virus-busting technology

EUROPE: Panasonic has expanded its PACi NX range to include the PY3 60×60 mini cassette panel with its virus-busting nanoe X technology built in.

The new mini cassette is available in five capacities from 2kW to 6kW and uses R32 refrigerant. Said to be lightweight and compact, these indoor units have been newly designed to feature a flat panel. Its slim profile makes it ideal for installation where ceiling voids are only 250mm deep. The DC drain pump and float switch have also been improved in the PY3 model to help reduce noise.

The nanoe X generators clean and deodorise the air by producing nano-sized hydroxyl radicals (also known as OH radicals). These have been shown to inhibit the growth of certain pollutants such as allergens, bacteria, viruses, moulds, odours and certain hazardous substances, by breaking them down and inhibiting their unpleasant effects.

The units also enable precise flap control that allows for individual customisation. It has four motors which provide perfect air distribution without direct airflow to reduce cold draughts.

A wide range of connectivity options are possible, including CONEX, Panasonic AC Smart Cloud and AC Service Cloud, Panasonic’s Econavi intelligent sensor, and Panasonic’s Free Multi compatibility which allows up to five units to be connected and combined with just one outdoor unit.
