Secop adds ULT compressors

GERMANY: Secop has launched five new compressors for ultra-low-temperature applications from -60°C to -86°C.

The compressors, using hydrocarbon refrigerants, are part of a product series specifically designed for medical applications, which Secop says will be further expanded in the future. One of the new compressors is designed for mobile use and four for stationary use – three of which can also be used in the biomedical range from -30°C to -60°C.

Medical equipment OEMs selecting Secop’s ULT compressors are said to benefit from access to software tools as well as experts to assist them in product development and customisation.

Secop’s ULT stationary cooling compressors are available for refrigerated containers with volumes from 20 to 200 and from 200 to 500 litres. The mobile cooling compressor, which can be used for 20 to 40 litre refrigerated containers, incorporates the option of battery or solar operation.
