Secop debuts most powerful propane hermetic

GERMANY: Secop is claiming 40% lower energy consumption with what it claims is the most powerful hermetic reciprocating variable speed propane compressor available on the market.

The energy-optimized 18cc SLVE18CN compressor, designed for both LBP and MBP applications, is said to achieve more than 2kW cooling capacity and a COP of up to 2.25 (ASHRAE MBP). It operates continuously inside an evaporating temperature range from -45 to +10°C.

It is supplied with Secop’s new CCD controller featuring speed control through adaptive energy optimisation, frequency signal, or serial communication.

According to Secop, the variable-speed design can obtain energy savings of up to 40% when compared to fixed-speed compressors in on/off operation mode.
