Daikin first to C&G Assured status

UK: Daikin claims to be the first HVAC manufacturer to have achieved City & Guilds Assured status with its Altherma heat pump training courses.

City & Guilds Assured is a validation and quality assurance service that reviews and approves in-house or bespoke training programmes. The rigorous accreditation process evaluates eight areas of internally developed training, assessing how organisations plan, design, maintain and evaluate their learning programmes against world-class quality standards.

The Altherma Heat Pump training package consists of three courses totalling four days of learning. Courses can be completed consecutively or spread over time; there is no set timeframe to complete them, and, once achieved, the qualification does not expire.

The courses cover installation, commissioning, fault finding and diagnostics. Upon completion, engineers receive a certificate bearing the City & Guilds Assured logo and are permitted to use the digital credential in their own marketing materials.

“Throughout the accreditation process, Daikin consistently demonstrated a clear commitment to excellence in training, with a comprehensive and well-structured offering that aligns strongly with the standards we expect from Assured programmes,” commented City & Guilds head of recognitions Sam Egerton.

“We were particularly impressed by the focus on practical skills development and supporting installers with the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the growing heat pump sector,” he added.
