AFR’s Rudy Reginiano (left) seals the deal with SHEco’s Pat Maughan

UK: AFR Refrigeration, the London-based refrigeration importer and wholesaler, has been sold to the SHEco Group.

Established in 1970, AFR Refrigeration is one of the industry’s longest running independent refrigeration wholesalers and represent some of the world’s top manufacturers including Zanotti, Dorin, Guntner, Geneglace, J&E Hall and Italia Refrigeration.

“After 54 years since my father and I started the company I have no intention of retiring completely but it was important to for me and my loyal staff, to ensure that the company would continue in my absence,” commented AFR MD Rudy Reginiano.

Based in Tipton in the West Midlands, the SHEco Group comprises SHEco Automotive Systems, heating and cooling solutions provider SHEco Engineering Services and SHEco Renewable Systems.

Commenting on the acquisition, Sheco Group director Pat Maughan said: “My connection with Rudy goes back over 40 years. We too are a family-owned group with roots in heating , automotive and renewables, involving air conditioning and heat pumps for commercial and industrial use. We see great synergy in bringing AFR on-board to complete our involvement in all temperature environments.”
