Carver Group buys SPC

UK: Leicester-based coil manufacturer S&P Coil Products, which trades as SPC, has been acquired by the Carver Group.

S&P Coil Products supplies a wide range of products including heating and cooling coils, radiant heating and cooling panels, fan convectors, trench heating and cooling, air curtains, and unit heaters for over 50 years.

Established in 1776, and based in the West Midlands, the Carver Group owns and manages a portfolio of brands which design, manufacture and install HVACR solutions for a wide range of market sectors. Its subsidiary companies include Canadian air conditioning manufacturer Applied Comfort, air diffusion company Biddle, chiller company Cooltherm, HVAC manufacturer Powrmatic and air curtain firm Thermoscreens.

The Carver Group states that the acquisition will strengthen its product portfolio and expands its reach in the UK with a wider array of tailored products and solutions, designed for the demands of both the public and private sectors. In particular, it cites the education sector as a combined strength.

“This acquisition not only enhances our product offering but also underscores our commitment to supporting the education sector in the UK with reliable, high-quality climate solutions that foster a productive learning environment,” said Carver CEO Aidan Killeen.

As well as having its headquarters in Walsall in the UK, the Carver Group has representation in 50 countries, with manufacturing facilities in Cambridge, Ontario; Ilminster, Sommerset; Nuneaton, Warwickshire; Kootstertille, Holland and own sales offices in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Canada.
