Celebrating pioneers of ammonia refrigeration

UK: The early pioneers of ammonia refrigeration will be the topic of the IoR’s historical TechTalk which will be held online on November 3.

The event, which also marks the 150th Anniversary of the first vapour compression ammonia refrigeration system, will provide a thorough account of the life and times of the characters involved in the early development of ammonia refrigeration, including David and James Boyle, Francis de Coppet and John Beath.

The talk is being co-hosted by the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration and will be given by Dr Andy Pearson and Bernard Nagengast as part of the 123rd anniversary celebration of the founding of the Institute of Refrigeration.
