Controls guide for ATW heat pump systems

UK: The Heat Pump Association (HPA) has collaborated with BEAMA, the British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers’ Association, to develop a new heating control guide for air-to-water heat pump systems.
Drawing on the expertise of technical experts from the two groups, the guide is designed to answer questions related to the interpretation of the Approved Document Part L of the Building Regulations and the specification of single-zone or multi-zone systems.
The guide compilers approached the Building Safety Regulator for clarification to ensure the ‘spirit’ of the regulations is adhered to by installers and system designers. The guidance offers valuable example schematics and highlights key considerations to enhance compliance.
