Green Point to supply Bitzer transport compressors

UK: Green Point, the compressor remanufacturing business of Bitzer UK, is now supplying Bitzer Roadstar compressors, a specialist range designed for bus and coach air conditioning systems.

The move is seen as part of the strategic expansion of Green Point as a specialist services arm of Bitzer UK. Green Point was established in 2014 at the UK company’s headquarters in Milton Keynes to support the UK  remanufacturing market.

The Roadstar series of lightweight aluminium compressors is available in 14 models, spanning capacities from 3 to 77kW, and suitable for use in a wide variety of bus and coach air conditioning systems. Units are equipped with two, four or six cylinders.

The most popular models and spare parts will be stocked at Green Point’s Milton Keynes headquarters for next day delivery across the UK.

As the business develops, Green Point plans to introduce a remanufacturing service for transport compressors.

Green Point will supply Roadstar compressors and spare parts to bus and coach fleet operators requiring replacement compressors and original spare parts for use in systems that have suffered breakdown.

A training programme in bus compressor technology is being introduced at the Schaufler Academy in Rottenburg to support the initiative. Starting this month, the one-day course includes both theoretical and hands-on training.
