Hawco announces new CEO

UK: Hawco has named Simon Allan as CEO and a member of the executive board. He succeeds Martin Butler who is leaving after a 25-year career with the company.

Simon Allan will join the Surrey-based refrigeration and air conditioning component supplier on September 2 and will report to chairman Duncan Wilkes. 

He has held a series of senior management positions in distribution businesses most recently as country manager responsible for the UK and Ireland division of ADI Global, the security and access control equipment distributor. Prior to that he spent 15 years in heating and cooling in Europe with Wolseley and Armstrong Fluid Technology. Whilst at Wolseley Allan was also commercial director of Climate Center.

Butler joined Hawco in 1999 as sales engineer, working his way up through a number of roles with the company. Following his promotion to commercial director in 2016, he was appointed MD in 2019. 

Last year, Martin Butler led a management buy-out backed by private equity company Bay Tree from owners Diploma PLC.
