HPA names its first installer representative
18th June 2025
UK: The Heat Pump Association (HPA) has named Damon Blakemore of Sheffield-based Blakemore Renewables as its first-ever installer representative.
This newly created role follows the relaunch of the HPA’s installer membership in 2024 and the recent launch of the HPA’s partnership with MCS to offer free HPA Installer membership to MCS-certified heat pump businesses. The creation of this role is part of the HPA’s broader commitment to collaboration across the sector and is designed to ensure that the voices of heat pump installers are heard and reflected in the HPA’s work.
Elected by HPA Installer member organisations, Damon will serve a two-year term, working closely with the HPA team to gather insights from its installer membership.
“Installers are at the heart of the transition to low-carbon heating, and I’m looking forward to bringing their perspectives to the forefront of the HPA and industry discussions,” Blakemore commented.
Welcoming its first installer representative, HPA chief executive Charlotte Lee said: “This initiative helps to ensure that heat pump installer voices are not only heard but actively shape our priorities and policy positions. It’s a vital step in building a stronger, more connected HPA and industry.”
