HPA UK appoints governing body committee

UK: The UK heat pump association, HPA UK, has set up a new governing body committee to steer the Association’s strategy and direction.

The committee will shape the strategic direction, set management principles, support the development, review, budget allocation and oversee the delivery of the association’s workplan.

It will report to the directors of the HPA UK and is constructed to allow full representation of the sector, with three co-opted spaces available and one space reserved for the elected installer representative.

The committee’s establishment is seen as a key step in ensuring effective checks and balances. With one co-opted space remaining on the committee, HPA UK says there is also scope to further strengthen representation.

Mark Wilkins, HPA UK co-chair, Vaillant Group
Laura Bishop, HPA UK co-chair, Hi-Group
Chris Taylor-Hamlin, HPA UK co-vice-chair, Daikin
Emma Bohan, HPA UK co-vice-chair, IMS Heat Pumps
Craig Dolan, Ex-HPA UK chair, Dimplex
Damon Blakemore, HPA UK installer representative, Blakemore Renewables
Achilleas Georgiou, Mitsubishi Electric
James Law, Centrica
Neil Sawers, Grant UK
Elizabeth Wilkinson, Groupe Atlantic
Ewan Sutherland, Worcester Bosch Group
Tom Oldfield, Mixergy
Rob McGaughey, ScottishPower
Richard Warren, Kensa.

The new committee members will serve for a mix of two-to-three-year terms.

HPA UK was formed from the merger of the Heat Pump Association, Ground Source Heat Pump Association and Heat Pump Federation at the start of this year.
