IOR seeks new board members

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is inviting members to join its board of trustees, which manages the Institute’s strategic direction and governance.

The board of trustees is made up of nine members who usually serve for three years. Each year two step down to provide opportunities for different members to take part.

Any member, fellow, associate or technician grade member can apply to join the board of trustees.  Applicants need to provide a short statement, a photo and details of two members to support their nomination.  Nomination forms, declarations of eligibility and more information is available at https://ior.org.uk/about/BecomeaTrustee.

The deadline for applications is 1 August.  If there are more than two nominations, there will be a web-based election in October to choose the two new trustees with results announced at the AGM.

A webinar on 7 July will enable potential applicants to find out more about the work of the trustees. Register here: https://ior.org.uk/events/ior-trustee-information-webinar.
