MCS accreditations pass 4,000
27th November 2023UK: The number of contractors certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) has now passed 4,000.
As demand for certified installers to retrofit homes with renewable technologies grows, the MCS has seen its busiest year, with over 1,700 new contractors becoming certified so far. In fact, more contractors have joined the scheme in 2023 so far than in the previous six years of the scheme combined.
It’s also been a notable year for heat pumps, with over 34,000 certified heat pump installations – more than any other year end figure since the scheme began.
