NIBE appoints former footballer as brand ambassador

NIBE’s Paul Smith (right) welcomes Freddie Ljungberg

UK: Swedish heat pump manufacturer NIBE has appointed former Swedish international footballer Freddie Ljungberg as its new UK brand ambassador.

According to a press statement, NIBE says that the partnership “aims to educate and inspire homeowners about the benefits of heat pumps, bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and everyday comfort”.

Ljungberg grew up in Vittsjo, a few miles from Markaryd where NIBE was founded and claims a strong personal connection to NIBE’s history – his grandfather being an engineer with close ties to NIBE.

Welcoming Ljungberg, NIBE UK MD Paul Smith said: “His dedication, teamwork, and drive for excellence resonate deeply with our mission to create sustainable, energy-efficient climate solutions.

“Together, with Freddie’s unique voice and our innovative technology, we’re empowering more households to take the step towards a sustainable future,” he added.
