NIBE signs S&M deal with British Gas

Deal sealed at ISH (left to right): NIBE Energy Systems Limited MD Paul Smith, British Gas chief commercial officer Alex Marples, British Gas director of Home Solutions David Robertson and NIBE sales director EMEA Stefan Nordenfors

UK: Swedish heat pump company NIBE is the latest manufacturer to sign a service and maintenance deal with British Gas.

The deal, announced yesterday at the ISH exhibition in Germany, follows a similar deal revealed by rival manufacturer Panasonic on Monday.

NIBE claims over 40,000 NIBE heat pumps already installed across the UK and has growth plans that exceed projected market growth.

Through this partnership, British Gas becomes an approved NIBE service partner, which the Swedish manufacturer claims will provide an expanded and more responsive support network for customers. This includes faster response times for callouts and servicing and a broader geographical coverage. In addition, the deal will provide improved availability of spare parts for installers.

NIBE’s existing team of field service engineers will continue to operate as usual.

“This partnership with British Gas enables us to scale up our service capabilities while maintaining the high standards we are known for,” stated NIBE Energy Systems UK MD Paul Smith. “By enhancing the skills of British Gas engineers, we are not only expanding our service reach but also strengthening the UK’s expertise in heat pump technology.”
