Ormerod and Logan to leave A-Gas

John Ormerod (left) and Ken Logan are set to leave A-Gas

UK: A-Gas’ UK and Europe MD John Ormerod and Ken Logan, the group’s sustainability, marketing and regulatory director, are set to leave the company next month.

John Ormerod joined A-Gas in the UK in 2009, having previously spent 15 years in the industrial gas and HVAC wholesale sectors in South Africa and the UK. He was appointed MD of the UK business in 2013 and led the expansion of A-Gas in Europe through acquisitions in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy.

Ken Logan joined A-Gas in 2000, initially as the business director for the UK, then moving to MD. Following this, he relocated to the USA, as regional president of A-Gas in the Americas. On returning to the UK, he joined the A-Gas executive team as group commercial director.

Last year, Logan was named in Time magazine’s inaugural Time100 Climate List of the most influential leaders from around the world driving business to climate action.

Freek Sneiders, who was appointed regional MD for Europe the Middle East and Africa last month, will be taking over from John Ormerod. A-Gas says that Ken Logan’s responsibilities will be divided between a combination of new hires and existing executive directors.

In a further move, group commercial and marketing development manager Faye Maddocks, who joined the company as a graduate management trainee in 2009, has been appointed as the company’s new UK commercial director.
