Paul Smith named as new Nibe UK MD

UK: Paul Smith, Carrier HVAC UK commercial director, is set to replace Phil Hurley as managing director at Nibe Energy Systems Ltd. 

Hurley is to step down after 16 years with the UK subsidiary of the Swedish heat pump manufacturer. Smith will step into the role on October 16.

Smith has been with Carrier since 2018, when he joined the company as UK and Ireland head of sales for Ciat.  Prior to that he spent 13 years at Caerphilly-based ventilation, heat recovery and AHU manufacturer Nuaire, latterly as regional commercial sales manager.

“Nibe strongly believes that Paul is the right person to continue to develop and build the organisation in the UK market,” the company said on its website. “He brings great experience in sales and marketing and is a seasoned leader with a passion for people and business development.”
