Samuel Turato takes WorldSkills UK gold

UK: Samuel Turato of DW Refrigeration won the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning gold medal in yesterday’s WorldSkills UK finals at Oldham College.

Turato, who attends Cardiff and Vale College, battled it out against five other competitors for the chance to represent the UK at WorldSkills in Shanghai in 2026.

James Rowland of Air Control Southern Ltd and City of Portsmouth College won the silver and Matthew Barker of Johnson Controls and the Practical Refrigeration Training Centre took the bronze

Ricky Rossi of Thermocool and Glasgow Kelvin College was highly commended.
