Shephard named president of BESA

UK: Anna Shephard, operations director at NG Bailey group company OSM Ventilation is the new president of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) for 2026/27.

Shephard was previously director of operations and finance at ductwork manufacturer E&S Heating and Ventilation, the company bought by NG Bailey last year and renamed OSM Ventilation.

With nearly two decades of experience across construction and building engineering, Shephard wants to inspire the next generation to see building engineering as an exciting and rewarding career. Her presidential year will focus on encouraging greater pride in building engineering services, championing those behind the built environment and demonstrating the increasingly important role the industry plays in creating better buildings.

President elect is Nick Mead, technical director of MEICA Systems and Engineering at Laing O’Rourke, while Paul Eagle, technical director engineering at Dalkia UK is vice president.
