Swedish valve company ESBE opens UK office

ESBE AB’s CEO Peter Cerny opens the UK office earlier this year

UK: Swedish valves and actuators manufacturer ESBE AB has opened a UK office in Rossendale, Lancashire.

Established in 1906 and based in Reftele, Jönköping County, ESBE is a leading European manufacturer of hydronic solutions. The group also has main sales offices in France, Germany, Italy and Poland.

The UK office is headed by newly appointed MD Darren Myers, who joined the company in 2023 as sales director, UK and Ireland. Prior to that, Myers spent four years as national sales manager/contractors with Pegler Yorkshire and has had spell with BSS and George Fischer. From 2005 to 2012 he was sales director of Nibe Energy Systems Ltd.

Myers is joined by technical manager Nigel Raper, who joined the company in February after 29 years with Dutch company Aalberts Integrated Piping Systems.

ESBE produces a range of valves for heat pump systems, including rotary and mixing and diverting valves and a range of actuators. Sales are through an established range of outlets including BSS, Wolseley, SBS and Secon.

Commenting on the company’s direction, Darren Myers said: “The big objective I have had over the past couple of years has been to increase specifiers and installers’ knowledge to ensure the right product is being put into the different situations.

“This particularly applies to the heat pump market where you need a full flow valve, which is why we work with the top distributors to get the message out.”
