A-Gas acquires US refrigerant company CRS

USA: A-Gas has acquired US refrigerant recovery and reclamation company Certified Refrigerant Services (CRS).

Based in Punta Gorda, Florida, CRS is a leading EPA Certified reclaimer operating throughout the state. Established in 1997, CRS claims to have reclaimed, and returned to the market, over 10 million pounds of refrigerants. The company provides CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerant recovery, refrigerant reclaim, refrigerant separation, and system or vessel flush/dehydration services.

“This acquisition demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the effective lifecycle management of refrigerants which is a critical part of the circular economy and building a sustainable future,” said A-Gas group chief executive officer Jack Govers.

This is the tenth acquisition by UK-based refrigerant supply and lifecycle management company A-Gas since the investment by private equity firm KKR in 2017. In addition to several acquisitions in the USA, the global expansion has included businesses across Asia, Europe and Australia.

CRS founder and CEO Rick Roland and his team will become part of the A-Gas business.
