Authorities close ice factory

Saudi ice factory closureSAUDI ARABIA: Authorities have closed an ice-making plant in Yanbu after it was found that corroded and rusty tools and equipment were being used.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry confiscated 3,700 ice blocks, each one weighing 24 kg, after observing the use of contaminated water.

Those involved are said to be facing legal proceedings.
