Bitzer aids training at Jordan college

GERMANY: Bitzer has donated four refrigeration compressors to the Wadi Al-Seer College in Amman, Jordan for training purposes.

The Wadi Al-Seer College in Amman is an institution of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Palestinian students are trained as technicians there. In the commercial and industrial refrigeration class, the students learn how to service and repair domestic and industrial refrigerators, upright freezers and cold stores.

The compressors, a cutaway model and an exhibition model of a reciprocating compressor and two scroll compressor exhibition models with a tandem design, were presented to the college by Stefan Leitl, MD of Bitzer Middle East, and Rachid Assebbane, customer support engineer Bitzer Middle East.

“I am delighted to see our exhibition and cutaway models being given a new lease of life, so to speak. What could be better for a compressor once it has been used at a trade fair? It is very rewarding for us to see that the compressors are very useful here at the college and that the students and teachers alike are impressed by them,” Stefan Leitl said.

More than 80 students are enrolled in the HVAC and refrigeration classes.
