Bitzer offers free F-gas guide

GERMANY: Compressor manufacturer Bitzer has produced a useful guide to the new F-gas regulation 517/2014.
The publication, available as a downloadable PDF, is available in German and English from Bitzer’s website.
The guide maps and discusses the key elements of the new regulation, providing guidance for all those involved in the specification or installation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It examines the historic background to the regulation and discusses its core elements. The phase down of fluorinated greenhouse gases is highlighted by clear charts covering quantities of gases, GWP and refrigerant usage.
Alternative refrigerants with reduced GWP are also evaluated and information is provided on the Bitzer compressor ranges suitable for use with new refrigerants.
