JAPAN: German compressor manufacturer Bitzer has opened a new sales office in Japan.

The new office in the heart of the Japanese capital Tokyo is in addition to the company’s existing office in Osaka.

“Japan is a very important market for Bitzer and with almost 38 million inhabitants the metropolitan area of Tokyo is the largest conurbation in the world,” said Bitzer Japan K K managing director Ferdinand Spannan.

“By increasing our presence in the capital city, we would like to move closer to both our important existing customers and to potential new customers, thus improving our turnover in the long term.”

Toru Nakano, sales manager at the Tokyo office, said: “As a driver of innovation in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector, it has been clear to us for some time that we must open a sales office in the heart of the high-tech country of Japan. Tokyo is the engine for growth in the Japanese economy,” he added.
