Bitzer relocates Benelux operations

NETHERLANDS: Bitzer Benelux has relocated its activities from the Belgian city of Hasselt to Breda in the Netherlands.

The official opening of the new office took place on Wednesday (June 12). The company will retain a slightly smaller office in Hasselt, staffed by two experienced employees.

With 80% of this Bitzer subsidiary’s customers based in the Netherlands, the Hasselt site was not able to offer the necessary infrastructure to adequately assist its Dutch customers. The Breda office provides a more central location, with three highways close by.

The German compressor manufacturer has been active in the Benelux region with its own branch for 17 years. In 2002, Bitzer NEBS started looking after Northern Europe, the Baltic States and the Benelux countries from its offices in Hasselt, Belgium. Bitzer Benelux was founded in 2007 and has been present in Hasselt ever since.

“The Netherlands are, just like Belgium and Luxembourg, very important for Bitzer,” explained chief sales and marketing officer and board member Gianni Parlanti. “That’s why it was time to move closer to our Dutch customers. We opted for this new location in Breda only after careful consideration.”

Describing the new site, Bitzer Benelux MD Ruud van Dissel said: “This enables us to support our Dutch customers much better, faster and more personally than before.”

The Breda site will start operations on July 1. The new address is: Minervum 7210, 4817 ZJ Breda, The Netherlands. Tel. +31 (0)88 990 4100.
