Bitzer to acquire Danish controls company

GERMANY: Bitzer is set to acquire OJ Electronics A/S, a Danish manufacturer of HVAC controls and drives manufacturer.

Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Sønderborg, OJ Electronics produces controls and panels for air handling units as well as drives for fans and compressors in ventilation systems and thermostats for electric floor heating. The company has 180 staff and boasts a number of subsidiaries and sales offices in global markets, including USA and Poland.

“Welcoming OJ Electronics to Bitzer by investing in energy-efficient and smart electronic components shows our strong profitable growth strategy entirely in the sense of “more than a compressor”,” said Bitzer CEO Christian Wehrle.

The transaction is subject to the usual approval and is expected to close no later than Q3 2023.
