Bluu Unit expands German footprint

GERMANY: Bluu Unit, a group of refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation firms, has bolstered its German footprint by acquiring Düsseldorf-based ACI Group and Heuberger Kälte Klima GmbH from Bayreuth.
Founded in 1993, the ACI Group is a family-run business delivering turnkey solutions in refrigeration system engineering, building services, and electrical engineering. Its team of 46 technicians provides round-the-clock support.
Heuberger Kälte Klima, with over 90 years of heritage, has expertise in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning technologies, particularly CO₂-based systems and other natural refrigerants. It has offices in Bayreuth, Munich, Coburg and Friedberg (Rhine-Main) and 81 employees.
Founded in 1997, Bluu Unit is a portfolio company of investor Triton. Since the start of 2025, Bluu Unit has welcomed four new groups – seven specialist companies in all – growing its alliance to more than 180 employees.
The cornerstone of the Bluu Unit Group is the Kälte Eckert Group, a pioneer in the field of natural refrigerants for more than 40 years. Triton invested in the Kälte Eckert Group in July 2022.
