Brivis to be bought by Rinnai

AUSTRALIA: Victoria-based cooling and heating system manufacturer Brivis Climate Systems Pty is set to be bought by the Australian subsidiary of Japanese heating company Rinnai.
Brivis is s subsidiary of GWA Group Ltd, Australia’s leading supplier of fixtures and fittings to households and commercial premises. Seen as a non-core business, Brivis will be sold for AUS$49m to Rinnai Australia Pty Ltd.
Brivis manufactures a range of products including evaporative coolers, heat pumps, ducted reverse cycle inverter air conditioners and multi split heating and cooling units.
The deal is expected to be completed in early February 2015.
