Bulgarian Tangra achieves Eurovent listing

BULGARIA: Tangra-AB  claims to be the first Bulgarian manufacturer to achieve Eurovent Certita certification for its air handling units and HiE series of air-to-air plate heat exchangers.

Seen as a leading Bulgarian manufacturer and supplier of HVAC equipment, Tangra is a family-owned company first founded in late 1930s and re-established in 1989. With its headquarters in Sofia, Tangra has its own design department, two factories, local offices in the Bulgarian cities of Varna and Bourgas, and a distribution network throughout the Black Sea countries and Europe.

In addition to AHUs and heat exchangers, the company’s product portfolio includes heat recovery units, ventilation grilles and diffusers, and centrifugal fans.

Tangra sees Eurovent Certita’s performance certification as an assurance for its customers when Bulgaria still suffers from past negative impressions of low prices and poor quality.

“Low-priced markets allow for commercial misconceptions where the declared parameters do not match the real ones,” said Tangra MD Yuliy Armyanov on the compnay’s website. “For these reasons, in 2013, several of our products have been certified by TUV Rheinland. This has given us confidence that we are ready to apply for certification from Eurovent Certita Certification.

“Passing the entire Eurovent acquisition process, as well as the certificate itself, assure our customers and potential partners that we follow the best manufacturing practices and achieve the required installation parameters.”

Tangra has also joined the Eurovent Association as a corresponding member. Eurovent is Europe’s Industry Association for indoor climate, process cooling, and food cold chain technologies. Based in Brussels, it is the majority shareholder of Eurovent Certita Certification.
