Carel buys Canadian distributor

ITALY/CANADA: Carel has acquired its Canadian humidification equipment distributor Enersol Inc.
Based in Beloeil, Quebec, Enersol was established in 1978 and has acted as a distributor for Carel since the formation of Carel USA in 2000. It specialises in the distribution of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. Sales last year reached CAD2.4m (€1.6m).
“This operation is part of our strategy to expand our direct sales network, aimed at strengthening the direct relationship with our customers to consolidate the strong growth in the North American market,” explained Martino Manfrin, CEO of Carel North America.
Enersol’s president Patrick Landry will continue as managing director of the new subsidiary.
